The spiralling floral patterns are most commonly known as islimi or tezhip. ‘Illuminate’ was inspired by my trip to Istanbul, where I witnessed endless spiralling designs of similar nature. A lot of the beautiful Quran Folios were decorated in extravagantly detailed patterns and I wanted to take a piece of that away with me. The way I did that was to recreate it in something that would take me through the entire process from design to colour.


All hand finished prints will be presented in a black archival box.

DESCRIPTION

  • Limited edition of 100
  • Archival quality Hahnemule Photo Rag 308gsm heavy weight luxury paper
  • Hand signed and numbered
  • Hand finished with 24k gold leaf (over some borders and flowers)
  • Each limited edition print will come with it's own Certificate of Authenticity, detailed care instructions, description of the art work and a hand written thank you note

HAND FINISHED PRINTS

  • Hand finished prints will have a layer of 24k gold leaf over the sun as seen in the original art. This usually takes 7-10 working days to complete, if you need it sooner please get in touch and that can be arranged.

  • Please note, colours may vary slightly depending on the screen you are viewing the art work on.

SHIPPING

  • Hand finsihed prints take 10 working days to complete (please read on to check shipping time)
  • UK - approximately 4-5 working days
  • International - approximately 12-14 working days
  • The print will be sent flat packed.
  • Any local taxes or customs duties are the sole responsibility of the customer - please check with your local customs office
  • All Packages are tracked and you will be sent a tracking number via email
