Option 1 - Persian Miniature Art Class

If you've wanted to learn traditional techniques to help you paint your own miniatures then this class is for you. These one to one classes go through each topic in depth and give you plenty of opportunity to practice.

I'll be able to interact with you directly and see your progress and give you constructive feedback to help improve your technique making sure you go away feeling confident with your new skills. The pace of the class will be as fast or slow as you need it to be. I also share detailed images of everything we've worked on in the class, so you always have a good quality refernce to look back over.

After your purchase I will be in touch via email and discuss what you hope to achieve from the classes. I’ll then work on preparing a class tailored to your needs and book in a time we can both meet.

You will be able to learn to draw and paint the following:

• Flowers
• Trees
• Clouds
• Water/Rivers
• Rocks/ Mountains
• Birds

We will cover traditional techniques used to paint miniatures for example, paper preparation, colour filling, rendering, gilding, burnishing etc. A one to one class allows you to work to your pace and in the areas you are most interested in.

Option 2 - Get to know your art materials

If you have recently bought any traditional miniature art materials from me then this one to one class will help you get to know them better. I will guide you through the contents and demonstrate how to use the contents of this special box.

The following will be covered deoending on what you purchased:

• 24k shell gold - how to paint with your shell gold and how to look after it
• Paint - how to get your handmade paint ready for use, especially the malachite
• Brush demonstrations and exercises - live demonstrations for brush exercises. I’ll talk you through how to use each brush and show you techniques for shading and outlining
• Paper preparation - you will learn how to prepare your paper and burnish it with the agate burnisher
• Walnut ink - You will see the correct consistency the ink needs to be for you to use it properly
• Using the design pack - a live demonstrations on how to transfer your design correctly will be shown to you
